Northern Nights – Northern Lights

This abstract artwork was created in memory of an adventurous trip to Lapland/Sápmi in Finland. An outside temperature of up to minus 30 degrees Celsius, trees that were barely recognizable under the loads of snow, Finnish friends, reindeers and salmon that were omnipresent made me love this region immediately. The frozen beauty of this country and the dancing green Northern Lights that lit up the night sky have been immortalised in my memory.
